College Education Loans Can Help You Achieve Your Dreams
Filed Under K 12 Education | Comments Off
It is no secret at the moment that the cost of college education is huge. If you go to a top college you will be paying a lot of money for getting a higher education. Even the smaller colleges charge a lot for their services, so going to college is no small commitment.
However you do not have to pay all your college fees by yourself in one go. There are many financial aids around including college education loans to help students to cope with the extra financial burden. Each company’s loans are different, but most allow you to pay off your debt over a long time frame which takes the pressure off paying it back.
There are also bursaries and grants available in some cases that do not need to be paid back. These are specifically for students who would have trouble paying for their college education fees. A bit of research may uncover financial aid that you never would have expected.
The great thing about college education loans is that they allow you to invest in your future. A good college education is one of the best investments you could ever make as the return on investment is huge. Many people are put off by the high cost of getting a college education without realising it will actually cost them much more in the long run not to go.
The most important thing is to do research into what college education loans, bursaries and grants are available for you. The cost of going to college may be a lot more manageable than you thought.

Ten Essential Qualities For Success as a Freelance PR Consultant
Filed Under Careers | Comments Off
Thinking of setting up as a freelance PR consultant, but not sure if you have the aptitudes required? Don’t worry! In this short article I’ve set out the ten essential qualities any successful, self-employed PR person needs to possess.
1. Be Optimistic
Those who expect success tend to succeed, while those who expect failure tend to fail. It therefore makes sense that if you want to succeed in the world of public relations, you need to become an optimist and expect success right from the very beginning.
2. Be Goal-Oriented
People who know what they want are always more likely to get it. The most successful people in business are those who have clear goals to aim for. So decide right now what your goals are, in terms of income, lifestyle, and so on. When your goals are clear in your own mind, you dramatically increase your chances of reaching them.
3. Be Self-Disciplined
As the old saying goes, the only place success comes before work is in the dictionary. This being the case, start becoming more self-disciplined, both in your business and personal life. Plan your work, then work to your plan. If you do this day in, day out, you will make constant and steady progress towards achieving the goals you have set for yourself.
4. Be Nice
Some people think that success in business requires the ability to be ruthless. Not so. The most successful people in business are generally those who are genuinely nice to others. In the world of public relations, as in life, if you are nice to others then the chances are that they will be nice to you, and this can make your job a great deal easier.
5. Be Helpful
Aim to be genuinely helpful to your clients. Don’t make the mistake of doing only what you are paid to do. Instead, go that extra mile. Treat your clients as if they were members of your own family and your helpfulness will automatically increase their loyalty to you as their PR consultant.
6. Be Honest
In all your business dealings, be honest. Don’t say what you think a potential client wants to hear just to please him or her. Instead present your advice and opinions honestly. Do this and your clients will come to genuinely value your input, knowing that you are not in the habit of saying things just for the sake of saying them.
7. Be Studious
Even if you have completed a training course in public relations (and you should), don’t ever think that you know it all. Instead, be a life-long student. Buy books on PR and promotion, and study how other PR consultants operate and learn from them. The longer you remain a student of success, the more likely you are to become a master of it.
8. Be Creative
The world of public relations is a lot like the world of advertising — the more creative you are, the more successful you will be. Of course, more often than not you will be using fairly standard techniques such as press releases to promote your client. However, if you can inject some of your own personal creativity into these tried-and-tested methods, you will find they become even more effective. As a result, you will become a more successful PR consultant.
9. Be Enthusiastic
Be passionate about your business and life. Enthusiasm sets you apart as someone who loves what they do rather than as one who merely shows up in order to fulfill an obligation. Even better, you will find that the more enthusiasm you inject into your daily life, the more successful you will become. Why? Because everyone loves enthusiastic people — especially clients!
10. Be Persistent
Success won’t come overnight, and it won’t come easily. It is likely that you, like any other professional, will face obstacles and setbacks as you tread the royal road to success. To get through these rough patches you must become a person who is habitually persistent. Remember, winners never quit and quitters never win. Persist in pursuing your goals and as long as you refuse to throw in the towel you will eventually achieve them.
So long as you possess, or can develop, these ten qualities, there is no reason why you cannot enjoy a long and successful career as a self-employed PR professional.

Debra Henderson “Bow Down Worship” from Higher Ground CD
Filed Under Music | Comments Off
Video footage from Debra Henderson’s Northern California Church tour promoting her new CD “Higher Ground” at the First Union Baptist Church in San Francisco.
In every generation, the Lord raises up women of God to speak to a particular time with a word that is both relevant and heart changing. Elder Debra Henderson is just such a woman. Anointed to preach the gospel, she speaks to the hearts of women, men and youth compelling them with the love of Jesus Christ and encouraging them to reach new heights in their Christian walk.
Elder Henderson was licensed to ministry in July 1999 and ordained as an Elder in June 2005. She is a sought after speaker for women retreats and fellowships all over the greater bay area. She is a member of several community organizations such as Bay Area Clergy Against Family Violence, the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music Entertainment, and the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.
She is well known as the featured soloist on the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) recording “Standing In The Need of a Blessing”.
Debra has traveled extensively spreading the gospel through song. She has shared her gift of singing and ministering across the country and internationally. She completed her first European tour in 1996, promoting her first solo CD “Just Right For God”.
She has been awarded the title Best Female Vocalist Of The Year 5 times by the San Francisco Bay Area Gospel Academy Awards. She was also the director of The Voices of Joy, the first place winner in the Quaker Oats Young Voices of Tomorrow Competition.
In March 2007,Debra was nominated by the Black Music Association of America for Best Gospel Performance Female and Best Recorded Gospel Performance.
Debra continues to sing about the Lord’s blessings on her new solo recording “Higher Ground”. Traditional Gospel at its finest, this CD shows Debra’s diversity and passion for the Church, as she ministers in song to the entire body of Christ. With songs penned by well known gospel writers Patrick Bradley Steven Roberts, it includes songs that many church choirs will be singing on Sunday morning as well as original Praise Worship songs. Debra also remembers her roots and those saints who still appreciate some of the old time devotion songs with a special segment of the CD dedicated to that purpose. “Higher Ground” is currently in national rotation on radio stations throughout the country, including the Sheridan Gospel Network. It was added to the play list of the Bobby Jones Gospel Radio program and charted on Radio and Records.
Debra has a heart for developing the body of Christ, specifically women and youth, to reach their goals and become the women and youth that are armed and dangerous for the Lord!
Both of her CD’s “Higher Ground” and “Just Right For God” are available at stores across the country and can be purchased or downloaded online at

Henderson is a deep threat going against KC (’nuf said). Washington is also a deep threat going against SD, who’s secondary is questionable. Gage is a starter, but is slowly coming back from injury going against Jacksonville. Please give reasons for your selection. Thanks!

He wasn’t on the Mitchell Report, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t take them. He seem to hit more HR, and got more buff , towards the end of his career.
